This paper focused on the difference of historical recognition between the pre-colonial police official(Tsuboi Sachio) and pre-political offender (Isogaya Sueji), especially recollect of one’s life in colonial korea’s era and South and North korea recognition after the second world war. Tsuboi emigrated to colonial korea for the purpose of university entrance, after graduation he passed state administrative exam and became a police official. He got a high speed promotion - police school professor, counterintelligence police official against russian communist spy, and anti-korean liberation agitators. After the second world war, he repatriated to japan and became Kagoshima police official, in charge of illegal korean entrances. He reviewed his korea’s era with his individual success as a colonizer, and took pride in his achievement as a police official, which realized constitutionalism in colonial korea. He was also proud of having been class mate of south korean supercrat during his college days. But there’s no reflection and introspection about japanese colonialism in korea. On the other hand, Isogaya came to colonial korea by conscription. After the discharge from military service in Nanam, northern korea, he got a job at Chosen Chitso, which is notorious factory for its exploitation and atrocious working conditions. In that factory he came to meet some korean laborer agitators, and was implicated in The Pacific Labor Union Case, was imprisoned for about 10 years. After release from prison, he made an effort for safe repatriation of japanese civilians confined in norther korea by the USSR’s blockade. After the repatriation, he continued to take interest in North Korea, and korean communist friends having company with during the imprisonment in korea. He always supported and cheered the Kim, Il-sung regime, but he came to know that Kim removed his friends and regime’s break down as a socialism country, he began to criticized Kim’s regime. At the same time, he urge the post war japan society to reflect on colonial rule and responsibility of division in korean peninsula.
