이 글은 설명문 텍스트의 맥락 특성과 구조 특성을 명료화하고 지도 요소를 추출하는 데 목적이 있다. 설명문은 학습 상황과 일상생활의 의사소통 상황에서 자주 접하지만, 학습자들은 이야기 텍스트와 달리 설명문 텍스트를 어렵고 재미없는 것으로 여기는 경우가 많다. 다른 텍스트 갈래와 구분되는 설명문텍스트만의 갈래 지식을 아는 것은 설명문을 활용한 의사소통에서 느끼는 어려움을 줄이는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 이 글에서는 실제 설명문 자료와 설명서, 소개문, 안내문을 비교.분석하여 설명문 텍스트의 맥락 특성과 구조 특성을 밝히고 체계화하고자 한다.

This study aims to investigate and extract context characteristic and structure characteristic of expository text. Students frequently read expository text in school and their daily lives. However students feel difficulty and bored when they communicate using expository text. It can be a help to overcome difficulty of communicating through expository text that learning knowledge on text grammar. In order to extract and establish systematic model for context characteristic and structure characteristic of expository text, we analyzed data regarding expository text used in actual communication process. And we compared the data regarding expository text to that of instruction, introduction, and notification.
