이 연구에서는 고등학생 학습자에게 공통 화제를 다루는 설명 텍스트와 서사 텍스트를 읽기 제재로 제시하여 자료 통합적 글쓰기 과제를 부과하고, 두 가지 유형의 제재에 대해 필자가 어떤 인지적 반응을 보여 글쓰기 결과물의 구조를 생성하는지 분석하였다. 이는 자료 통합적 글쓰기가 서로 다른 복수의 읽기 자료에 대한 필자의 인지적 반응을 전제로 성립함에도 불구하고 정작 읽기 자료가 어떤 유형의 텍스트인가에 대한 천착은 이루어지지 못한 데 대한 문제 제기로 볼 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 고등학교 2학년 학습자의 자료 통합적 글쓰기 결과물(48편)을 수집하고, 텍스트 유형을 표시해 주는 총괄적 구조인 ‘상위구조(superstructure)’를 분석틀로 삼아 질적 내용분석을 실시하였다. 48명의 고등학생 필자는 일차적으로 상위구조로 논증 구조를 갖는 ‘설명 텍스트 중심형’과 상위구조로 이야기 구조를 갖는 ‘서사 텍스트 중심형’으로 분류되었으며, 이와는 별도로 두 유형의 속성을 모두 공유하거나 예외적인 속성을 보이는 경계적 사례도 발견되었다. 경계적 사례 집단의 자료 통합적 글쓰기 수행에는 논증 구조나 이야기 구조 외에 필자 자신의 사적인 느낌을 덧붙여 표현적 글쓰기에 근접한 형태로 제시된다는 점에서 다른 두 유형의 사례에서와 뚜렷한 변별이 나타났다. 이 연구는 자료 통합적 글쓰기 수행 양상을 집단별로 분류해 실증적으로 분석함으로써 향후 필자 특성에 따른 교육적 처방이 이루어질 수 있는 토대를 마련했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study aims to analyze the highschool students` cognitive responses on expository and narrative text during writing from sources. This study analyzed 48 students` writing texts by means of methodology based on the qualitative content analysis, and proposed the result by groups of writers using frame of superstructure. As a result, the following were discovered. Writers manage their own writing processes in two ways: the expository text-centered and the narrative text-centered. Plausible explanation can be made to show the exceptional examples, that contain the personal impression of writers` own as well as the argumantative and story structure from previous material texts. Those are come close to ‘the expressive writing’ rather than ‘the transactional writing’. This study`s discussion is valued in that the foundation able of educational search according to writer`s characteristics by classifying by group and characterizing the aspects of the highschool student`s writing from sources constructed variously according to the writer is established.
