본 연구는 잘 쓴 글의 기준에 대한 초·중·고등학생들의 인식을 검토하고 비교 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 잘 쓴 글의 기준이 무엇인지 자유롭게 쓰도록 하는 개방형 설문을 실시하였다. 학생들의 응답은 지속적 비교 방법으로 유형화하고 분류하였다. 그 결과 초등학생들이 인식하는 잘 쓴 글의 기준은 필자 범주에서 두드러지게 나타났다. 반면에 중학생과 고등학생은 잘 쓴 글의 기준을 독자 범주에서 찾았다. 초등학교에서 고등학교로 갈수록 필자 범주에 대한 응답 비율은 감소하였으며, 반대로 독자 범주에 대한 응답 비율은 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 다수의 학생들이 글씨체나 글의 분량을 잘 쓴 글의 기준으로 응답하였는데 이러한 왜곡된 인식에 대해서는 지도가 필요하다. 잘 쓴 글에 대한 학생의 인식은 실제 쓰기의 질에 영향을 미치기 때문에 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 잘 쓴 글에 대한 학생들의 인식을 실제적으로 보여주었을 뿐만 아니라 학교급별로 나타나는 필자의 특성을 밝히고 그 인식 차이를 비교하였다는 데에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine students` perception(elementary, middle, and high school) of the standard of good writing and compare to one another. To achieve the research purpose, this study conducted an open-ended question survey on the standard of good writing. Students` responses were categorized and assorted by using of constant comparative method. The result showed that elementary school students` responses on a standard of good writing are strongly related to a Writer category. On the other hand, middle and high school students` responses are related to Reader category. Also, a substantial number of students respond about font and quantity of the writing, which is a distorted perception needed to instruction. The perception of the good writing is very important because it influence a quality of writing. The implication of this study is that we practically showed a perception of a good writing and compared these each other.
