본고는 초기 북한문학 창작방법론의 역사적 기원에 대한 규명을 위해 북조선문학예술총연맹의 기관지 『문화전선』 제1～5집을 통해 ‘고상한 사실주의’의 수식어인 ‘고상한’의 활용형을 구체적이고 실증적으로 고찰하였다. 이 시기를 다룬 기존의 연구들이 ‘고상한 사실주의’를 하나의 확정된 담론으로 규정하면서 미시적인 고찰을 진행하지 않았기 때문에, 1946～47년의 양상을 『응향』 사건이나 ‘건국사상총동원운동’, 김일성의 1947년 신년사 등을 중심으로 북한문학의 도식화를 설명해왔다. 하지만 북한문학의 출발선상에서 제출된 기관지 『문화전선』의 번역문들을 중심으로 고찰해본 결과 1946년 이전에도 이미 북한 사회에서는 ‘고상한 사상과 예술’을 강조하는 소련문화의 수입과 활용에 대한 논의가 진척되고 있었음을 확인할 수 있다. ‘고상한 사실주의’로 정착되는 과정에서 ‘고상한’이라는 수식어는 ‘고도한’과 함께 도입되어 혼재적으로 사용되다가 ‘고상한’으로 수렴되면서 ‘사상과 예술, 정신과 창작방법, 사람과 수준’ 등을 두루 수식하는 도식화된 표현으로 강조된다.

This paper seeks to examine the historical origins of the North Korean literature. ‘Noble realism’ of the qualified person for conjugations of ``noble`` was specifically studied. Existing studies have confirmed the discourse defined as one of the ``noble realism’. But it investigated mainly the translation of 『Cultural Front Line』. As a result, in March 1946, even before North Korea is already discussing the importation and use of Soviet culture that emphasizes the ‘noble ideas and art’ was being advanced. Modifiers of ``noble`` in the process of being established as a ``noble realism`` has been used to mix ever been introduced with ‘a high level’. It was later converged into ``noble``. Since ``ideas and art, spirit and creative ways’ were highlighted, including a diagrammatic representation of the formula. In particular, ‘Enlargement decision, An Mak and Han Hyo’ goes through a discussion of theorists such as ‘noble realism’ was established. After passing the Korean War were variations as ‘noble patriotism’.
