晩唐시기 유미주의를 대표하는 李商隱은 많은 애정시를 남긴 시인이다. 그는 시인으로서나 정치인으로서 불우하고 우울한 생활을 보내면서 자신의 작품에 정치적이나 개인적인 내심을 드러내지는 않았다. 그래서 완곡하고 구성지게 이야기를 전개하며 比興·寄託의 수법을 잘운용한 것이 특징이라 할 수 있다. 이런 특징 때문에 그의 작품은 몽롱한 이미지와 난해한표현으로 구성되어 독자들에게는 여러 가지 해석으로 인한 혼란을 가져오기도 하였으나, 반면 그의 이러한 독특한 미학적 풍격은 오히려 唐詩의 미학적 측면에서 크게 평가되어왔다. 그의 서정시 가운데, 가장 주목 받는 「無題詩」는 깊이 있고 아름다우며 그만의 독특한 풍격을 갖고 있어서, 중국 고대 애정시단 가운데 “진기한 꽃”으로 손꼽히고 있다. 하지만이 또한 그의 창작 배경 때문에도 주제나 소재에 있어서 시인이 의도하는 바를 추측할 수없게 하는 것이 특징이다. 그래서 많은 사람들은 중국전통적인 시의 해석방법인 傳記·生平주의적 관점에 근거하여 시를 해석해 왔다. 그러다보니 이상은의 「無題詩」는 대부분 “愛情”을 중심으로 하는 해석에서 크게 벗어나지 못했다. 하지만 객관적인 입장으로 그의 “몽롱”하고 “애매모호한” 시 자체의 표현방법에 초점을 두어 다각도로 분석 해 볼 필요가 있다. 이에 본고에서는 지금까지 시의 해석에 주력하느라 소홀히 되어왔던 그의 몽롱한 환상세계를 「無題詩」에서 찾아보았다.40) 환상이란 모든 문학의 본질적 요소라 할 수 있으며, 상상력에 의한 창조라고 할 수 있다.이는 인간의 경험과 인식으로는 확인할 수 없는 미지의 경지이며 신비의 영역이기도 한것이다. 이와 같은 미지의 경지와 신비의 영역은 李商隱 시의 세계에서 몽환적인 것, 즉꿈속의 환상과 같이 잡히지 않아서 아름답고 허망한 것으로 연결해 볼 수 있다. 그렇다면, “환상”을 “비현실적”이고 “초현실적”인 창조로 제한해 볼 수 있다. 이상은의 무제시에서는 이런 초현실적이고 비현실적인 요소를 “時空의 초월”과 “신선세계의 추구”로 시적 환상세계를 분석해 볼 수 있었다.

Li Shang Yin, who represented aestheticism in Wantang period(晩唐) is a poet leaving so much poetry about affection. He didn``t expose his inner heart politically or personally in his poetry because he had been living his life in unfortunate andmelancholy. So, his poetic characteristic is to use the figurative and deposition skill developing stories in a roundabout and attractive ways. Because of this characteristic, his poetry expressed in vague and unclear and it caused confusion to the readers by different interpretation but, these peculiar aesthetics was evaluated greatly in aestheticsat that time. Untitled poem receiving full attention among his lyric poetry is especially prominent as "Rare and precious flower" in ancient China poetry since it is in depth and beauty, and has his own peculiar character. But, it has no conjecture also on poet``s intention about the subject and subtitle due to his creation background. Therefore, many people have interpreted his poem based on the principle of biography and life which was the conventional China way to translate poetry. Untitled poem of Li Shang Yin has been interpreted mostly by the method centred around love consequently. However, we need to analyze his poem objectively in various aspects focusing on his own expression way in "vague" and "unclear". This report found out his vague fantasy world from Untitled poem accordingly, which has been neglected searching for the original concept so far. We can say that fantasy is the essence of all literature and the creation by imagination. This is the unacquainted state and the mystery area which are unascertainable with man``s experience and awareness. Such like unacquainted state and mystery area may be connected with vague thing, namely, beautiful and nonsensical thing because of elusive fantasy like a dream. Then fantasy can be limited to unreal and surreal creation. We understand the poetic fantasy world by analyzing these unreal and surreal element as "transcendence of space-time" and "pursuit of the world for a legendary hermit with miraculous power" in the Untitled poem of Li Shang Yin.
