This research investigates the adjustment process of ``1,800 Basic Chinese Characters for Educational Purpose`` and suggests future pathway which Chinese Character education can proceed. The modification was made based upon a series of efforts such as composing advisory committee, conducting background research, holding a public hearing, organizing conciliation committee, collecting general opinions, and confirming the plan. By scrutinizing the procedure, this study proposes ways to upgrade Chinese Character education categorizing macroscopic and microscopic improvement. Moreover, it highlights the need to expand the sphere of Chinese Character education with help of ``renovation of its stams in line with current trends``, ``continuous research on academic and practical levels``, ``scientific study about the availability of Chinese Character education in elementary schools``, and ``establishment of the typical translation and sounds of 1,800 characters``.
