항공수요 증가로 인해 국제공항들은 여객의 다양한 요구를 수용하면서 점점 대형화되고 있다. 이러한 요구와 기능을 수용하기 위해서 다양한 시설들을 복합적으로 공간구성을 해야 하는 공항은 최첨단의 기술과 최고의 디자인을 통해서 이 시대 최고의 건축으로 그 나라의 주요 디자인 관심사이자주요시설이다. 특히 우리나라 대표 공항인 인천국제공항은 최근 10년 동안ASQ 평가(세계 공항 서비스 평가)에서 1위를 차지했다. 2017년 개항하는 제2여객터미널도 ASQ 평가에서 세계 최고 공항을 유지하기 위해서 실제로 사용하는 여객 및 운영자 중심의 서비스 만족도 평가인 ASQ 평가항목을 파악하고 여객터미널에서 여객들이 주요 이용하는 시설들의 공간구성에 어떠한 영향이 있는지 분석한다. 이를 바탕으로 여객주요 이용시설들을 접근, 이동 및 대기, 여객수속, 서비스 등으로 구분하여 편리하고 편안한 여객 동선체계에 따른 여객터미널 공간구성과의 연계성을 파악하고자 하는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. 서비스 수준을 높일 수 있는 공간구성이 ASQ 평가에 미치는 영향 등 구체적인 여객터미널의 공간구성 방법론에 대한 후속연구를 지향하게 만들어 줄 연구가 될 것이다.

International airports have been maximizing their own scales with accepting diverse demands for several decades since the demand for air transportation has been increasing. Airports, which have to be composited various facilities based on purposes and spaces, is the main concern as a design element with the most advanced technology in the country. Incheon international airport as a representative in Korea has been mentioned the first grade based on ASQ(Airport Service Quality) criteria for 10 years. Additionally, the criteria of ASQ is applying to the second passenger terminal with competitive elements, which are analyzed due to effects of spatial composition in facilities. The aim of this study is to grasp the connectivity with space configuration of the terminal based on convenient circulation system classified some sorts such as approaching, waiting, and so on. Thus this study is expected to be the beginning of new solution and to use as a follow up study in order to pursue concrete discussion for improving systematic issue and composition method as a spatial composition, which is able to increase its own service quality, has been affected to ASQ criteria.
