본 연구는 감성적인 측면의 차별화된 웨어러블 제품 디자인 개발을 위해 통합적인 디자인 프로세스 모형을 제안하고, 모형의 활용도를 높이기 위해 실용적인 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 연구의 진행은 이론 고찰을 통해 파악된 내용을 바탕으로 웨어러블 제품 디자인 프로세스 모형이 개발되었고, 이에 대한 검증 및 활용 방법을 소개하기 위해 두 차례의 사례 연구가 진행되었다. 감성적인 측면을 고려한 디자인 프로세스 모형은 다섯 단계로 구성되어 있으며, 열 세 가지의 웨어러블 디자인 원리 및 세 가지의 감성디자인 범주가 결합되었다. 이를 재구성하여 실제 프로젝트에 다양한 방식으로 활용이 가능하도록 가이드라인 분석표를 개발하였고, 이를 적용한 두가지의 사례 연구를 구체적으로 소개하였다. 사례 연구를 통해 다양한 웨어러블 프로젝트 주제에 디자인 프로세스 모형과 가이드라인 분석표가 충분히 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 감성적 측면의 웨어러블 디자인 프로세스 모형과 가이드라인 분석표는 아직 개발 초기 단계이며, 상황에 따라 항목 변경이 가능하여 유연성을 지니고 있기 때문에 추후 웨어러블 디자인 연구의 발전을 위한 기초적인 자료로 활용될수 있기를 기대한다.

The study suggested integrated design process model to develop differentiated wearable product design from the emotional aspect, and also provided practical design guidelines for better application of the model. The design process model was developed based on the literature review, and two case studies were conducted to better explain the use of the model and guidelines. The design process model reflecting emotional aspect consisted of five phases integrating thirteen wearable design principles and three criteria of emotional design. The guideline analysis matrix was developed by reorganizing the process model elements. From the case studies, the possibility of the process model and guideline matrix being applied to practical design projects was verified. Even though the model and matrix need to be further developed, the format is flexible enough to be applied to different design projects, and it is expected that these model and guideline matrix would be a cornerstone for the near future wearable design research.
