본 연구의 주목적은 소득재분배 선호에 미치는 영향요인들이 무엇이며, 이러한 요인들이 소득재분배에 미치는 중요도가 시간이 지남에 따라서 변화하는지 또는 지속적인 영향을 미치는지를 관찰하는 것이다. 특히, 복지국가 발전에 따라 소득재분배 선호도에 미치는 영향요인들이 어떻게 달라지는지를 고찰한다. 또한 기존 관련 국내 연구들이 간과하고 있는 개인의 문화적 특성이 개인의 소득재분배 선호에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대해서도 살펴본다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 WVS의 한국자료 중 1990년, 2001년 및 2010년 설문조사결과를 분석하며, 순서로지스틱분석모형을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 각 시기별로 소득재분배에 미치는 요인들의 영향력 정도가 차이가 나며, 지속적으로 영향을 미치는 요인들도 그 영향력 정도가 다름을 발견하였다. 또한, 하위 계층의 탈계급화 현상이 지속적으로 나타났으며, 몇몇 개인의 문화적 특성들이 소득재분배에 지속적으로 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다.

The main objective of the research is to observe whether determinants of preferences for redistribution have consistent impact in the period of 1990-2010. Especially, the study examines whether the degree of the welfare state development influences individual preferences for redistribution or not. And the study analyzes that the impact of determinants on the preferences fluctuates depending on the degree of the welfare state development. In addition, the research tries to find what personal cultural factor has an impact on the individual preferences though as the existing literature take little interest. The study uses World Value Survey to achieve research objectives and there are selected three surveys: the 1990 survey, the 2001 survey, and the 2010 survey. The analytical tool is an ordered logistic model to compare statistical results of each year. There are several findings in this research. Firstly, the empirical results show that many determinants have an inconsistent influence on the preferences as time goes on. Secondly, there exists the end of class politics in the field of preferences for redistribution. Finally, several personal cultural characteristics consistently affect preferences for redistribution.
