이 논의에서는 독자의 의미 창발 과정에서 이루어지는 정보의 자기조직화 특성을 살펴보았다. 복잡계 과학의 관점에서 보면, 독자가 글을 읽고 표상한 정보들은 복잡성을 띤다. 독자는 표상한 정보들을 질서 있는 네트워크로 구성하여 복잡성을 해소하고 의미를 창발한다. 독자가 표상한 정보들은 네트워크를 구성하는 과정에서 자기조직화를 하게 된다. 정보의 자기조직화는 독자가 표상한 정보들이 관련 있는 것끼리 모이고 연결되어 클러스터를 만들고, 클러스터들이 허브 클러스터를 중심으로 연결되어 네트워크를 이루는 작용이다. 정보의 자기조직화는 정보들의 자발적인 연합이나 연결되는 경향성을 말한다. 독자가 표상한 정보들이 자기조직화를 하는 데는 작동 방식과 특징이 있다. 정보의 자기조직화 작동 방식은 편향, 의존성, 상호작용, 되먹임이 있다. 그리고 특징으로는 구조의 체계성, 선택의 임의성, 형태의 가변성, 활동의 반복성이 있다. 독자가 의미를 창발하기 위하여 정보를 네트워크로 구성하는 자기조직화 특성으로는 정보의 자의적 연결, 조건화된 되먹임, 독자의 의도 관여, 창발 의미의 상세화를 들 수 있다. 독자는 표상한 정보는 자기조직화를 통한 네트워크 구성으로 의미를 창발한다. 읽기 교육에서는 학생의 창발적 읽기 활동 지도를 위해 표상 정보의 자기조직화에 대하여 관심을 가질 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to inquire about the trait of represented information self-organization in reader`s mind. From the viewpoint of complex network system, the represented information in reader`s mind is hold in the characteristic of complexity. The reader solves the problem of complexity through making network of information. The making information network is accomplished by information self-organization. The information self-organization reveals three aspect traits: the mechanisms, the attributes, and the characteristics. The mechanisms are contained four factors: deflection, interdependence, interaction, and feedback. The attributes are consist of four essential elements: systematic construction, optional selection, variableness shape and repetition activity. The characteristics are possessed four component parts: the arbitrary organization of information, the conditioning feedback, the reader`s intention participation, and the specification of emerged meaning. The reader emerges the meaning through linking represented information to network. The reading educators should perceive the trait of self-organization in networking represented information for meaning emergence.
