This study investigated the mediating effects of peer relationship between parent-adolescent communication and smart-phone overindulgence. 176 high-school students were examined with PACA(Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory), PRS(Peer Relation Scale) and Teenagers Self-Diagnosis Smart-phone Addiction Scale. To explore the relationship among these variable, correlation analysis was undertaken. Regression analysis was then applied to test the mediating effects of peer relationship. In the results, parent-adolescent communication, peer relationship and smart-phone overindulgence were negative correlation. Peer relationship operated as a factor to mediate between the parent-adolescent communication and smart-phone overindulgence. This mean that parent-adolescent communication impact indirectly, rather than directly, on smart-phone overindulgence. These results suggest the importance of psychological intervention to improve peer relationship and parent-adolescent communication that affect smart-phone overindulgence.
