본 논문은 미메시스 개념의 인식론적, 미학적, 정치철학적 함축의 상호연관이 어떻게 드러나는가 하는 것을 플라톤에서 아도르노에 이르는 과정 속에서 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 통해 상이한 철학적 관심들(인식론, 미학, 정치철학)을 횡단하는 독특한 개념으로서 미메시스가 조명될 것이다. 특히 아도르노를 중심으로 미메시스 개념이 현대적 배경에서 어떻게 이 세 영역에서 발전되는지 알아볼 것이다. 우리는 이를 통해 미메시스 개념이 제기하는 ``닮아감``의 문제설정과 조우한다. 인식은 대상을 소유하는 것인가, 아니면 대상과 닮아가는 것인가. 예술이란 세계와 무관한 것인가, 아니면 세계를 단순히 모방하는가, 아니면 세계의 부정성을 닮아감으로써 거꾸로 세계 자체의 변화를 호소하는가. 훌륭한 방식의 집단성은 강자와 닮아가며 집단 속에 안정감을 누리는것인가, 아니면 타인의 고통과 연대하는 것인가. 이것이 인식론, 미학, 정치철학을 횡단하며 미메시스 개념이 제기하는 물음이다. 이러한 미메시스에 대한 성찰은 따라서 닮아감의 관계를 점차 상실해가는 현대 사회에서 더욱 그 중요성이 부각된다 하겠다.

The main purpose of this paper consists in the laying out, how the correlations between the epistemological, aesthetical and political-philosophical implications of the mimesis concept come into view. Thereby the mimesis is spotlighted as an unique concept that traverses different philosophical interests (epistemology, aesthetics and political philosophy). Especially Adorno will give us the perspective how the notion of Mimesis is developed in these three dimensions. We encounter as a result the problematique of the likeness. Eventually it is essential to say that this philosophical reflection of the mimesis has thus it`s importance after all in the modern society in which the relation of the likeness disappears.
