MOMA PS1 YAP 파빌리온의 최종당선작들을 입체적으로 비교 분석하여 동시대 파빌리온 건축 공간의 특성과 그 흐름을 밝히는 것에 목적이 있다. 연구의 방법으로는 파빌리온의 공간 특성을 보다 개관적으로 분석하기 위해 공간분석항목을 도출, 사례를 통한 분석을 하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. MOMA PS1 YAP 파빌리온은 참신한 아이디어와 진보적 기술을 실험하는 장으로써 동시대 건축의 다양성, 진보성, 지역성을 대변하여 보여준다. 첫째, 파빌리온 사례의 연대기적 비교분석을 통해 최근 파빌리온 건축의 특성과 흐름을 파악할 수 있다. 둘째, 파빌리온 사례의 지역적 비교분석을 통해 최근 파빌리온 건축의 지역적 특성을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to reveal the plan characteristics and the trends of contemporary pavilion architecture by comparing the final winners of MOMA PS1 YAP with different perspectives. The way of research is to analyze winning projects through the spatial analysis items in order to review them objectively. The result is; the MOMA PS1 YAP represents diversity, cutting-edge technology, and locality of architecture with exploring novel ideas and innovative technologies with young architects. The first, the chronological analysis of pavilion projects shows the characteristics and trends of pavilion architecture. The second, the regional anlaysis of pavilion projects shows the local characteristics of pavilion architecture.
