본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 불안애착이 외로움과 대학생활적응을 매개로 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 구조모형을 설정하고 이를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 연구에 참여한 312명 중 설문에 성실히 응답한 281명으로부터 얻은 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 측정모형은 자료에 적합한 것으로 나타났고, 외로움은 불안애착이 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향을 매개하였고, 대학생활적응은 외로움이 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향을 매개하였다. 한편, 불안애착이 스마트폰에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 대학생활적응의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았으며, 외로움과 대학생활적응의 이중매개효과도 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 불안애착이 대학생활적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않지만 외로움을 통해 대학생활적응에 부정적 영향을 미치며 외로움은 스마트폰 중독에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 대학생활적응을 통해 간접적으로도 영향을 미친다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 후속연구와 대학생을 대상으로 한 상담에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of the present study was to examine whether anxious attachment would influence smartphone addiction through loneliness and college adjustment. A total of 312 students attending 4-year colleges were asked to participate in the survey, and 281 students completed the survey. The results revealed that loneliness mediated the relationship between anxious attachment and college adjustment, and college adjustment mediated the relationship between loneliness and smartphone addiction. However, college adjustment had no mediating effect on the relationship between anxious attachment and smartphone addiction. Lastly, loneliness and college adjustment had no significant dual mediating effects on the relationship between anxious attachment and smartphone addiction. Such results suggested that anxious attachment had no direct effect on college adjustment, but negatively influenced college adjustment through loneliness. In addition, loneliness had a direct effect on, and indirectly influenced smartphone addiction through college adjustment. Based on these findings, we discussed the implications of this study for clinical practice and future research.
