본 연구는 10세에서 15세 청소년 2,933명을 포함하는 ‘Crime Survey for England and Wales, 2013-2014’ 데이터를 사용, 청소년의 범죄피해에 연관된 사회환경 및 가족모델을 측정하여 범죄경험에 환경적 결핍과 부모 양육의 영향을 분석하기를 시도하였다. 분석결과는 환경적 소외경험이 청소년의 범죄관여 가능성을 통계적으로 유의미하게 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부모의 양육보호도 청소년의 문제행동에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구결과를 위기청소년을 위한 효과적 실천방안에 적용할 수 있도록 제시하였으며, 연구의 제한점과 후속연구방안도 추가적으로 논의하였다.

This study, using ‘Crime Survey for England and Wales, 2013-2014’ which includes children aged 10 to 15, 2,933 youths, examined the effects of environmental deprivations and parental supervision to experiencing offences by testing a social environmental and familial model that links offense victimization in adolescence. The results suggested that disadvantaged environment significantly increase the probability of being getting involved in offenses. Living in a family where there are high levels of poverty and crime increases the risk of involvement in crime for all children growing up there. The result also found that parental supervision can be considered to play an important role to deal with offensive behaviors among adolescents. Study results were applied in the effective practices for adolescents at risk. Study limitations and further study suggestions were additionally discussed.
