본고에서는 한국 영화의 대사를 일본어 자막으로 번역할 때 양국의 관용어 표현의 사용에 적용되는 틀 지식과 은유적 사상에 대해 고찰하였으며 그 결과 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 은유가 포함된 한국어 관용어 표현이 일본어에서도 1대 1의 대응을 보이면서 축어적으로 번역된 경우, 양국에 유사한 틀 지식이 존재하고 있었다.둘째, 은유가 포함된 한국어 관용어 표현이 일본어에서는 은유를 포함하지 않은 일반 표현으로 번역된 경우, 한국어에는 존재하는 틀 지식이 일본어에는 존재하지 않았기 때문에 한국어에서와 같은 은유적 사상이 일본어에서는 일어나지 않았다. 셋째, 은유가 포함된 한국어 관용어 표현이 일본어에서는 다른 은유적 표현으로 번역되었을 경우, 양국의 틀 지식 역시 다를 것이라고 예상되었으나 실제 예문을 분석해 본 결과 그러한 예는 소수에 지나지 않았으며 대부분의 경우에는 양국에 유사한 틀 지식이 존재하고 있었다.

From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, this study aims to explore　the ways of metaphor translation with idioms from Korean to Japanese on the subtitle translation. This study begins by finding the patterns of metaphor translation on the subtitle translation. First, based on the frame semantics and conceptual metaphor theory, five patterns are proposed, and the three major patterns are selected.　It then examines their features in each pattern of the metaphorical expressions, mainly the metaphorical mappings and the relations between source and target domains, and frames of Korean and Japanese. Thus we see, frame and the metaphor translation with idiom are deeply involved, it seems that the most appropriate translation expression is used for each statement by the translator. It should also be added that there are some limitations of the number of characters because of the particularity of the subtitle translation. Considering the features of the subtitle translation, it seems to have been considered also such factors in the subtitle translation in addition to the factors mentioned above.
