이 논문은 竹添進一郞(1842~1917)의 『論語會箋』을 고찰한 것이다. 『논어회전』은 江戶 시대 일본 경학의 주요 성과를 담은 『논어』 주석서이다. 何晏의 『論語集解』와 朱子의 『論語集註』를 하나의 책에 모두 수용하고 있으며, 이러한 독특한 체제는 일본 경학의 특징적 국면을 잘 보여준다고 할 수 있다. 또 『논어회전』에 인용된 학자들은 그면면을 고찰하는 것만으로 일본 경학 학파와 학술의 흐름을 간취할 수 있다. 이러한 판단 아래 4개 학파 13명의 학자들에 대한 사승관계와 학문 지향을 소략하게 고찰하였다. 본고에서는 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 『집해』와 『집주』를 수용한 『논어회전』의 체제는 『집해』와 『집주』라는 두 축을 중심으로 발전시켜온 일본 논어학 전통의 산물이다. 經文 아래 집주를 실은 것은 『논어』 해석에 있어 기본적 해석은 주자학을 따랐음을 표명한 것이며, 會箋에서 고학파에서 고증학파에 이르는 각 학파가 이룬 성과를 담은 것이다. 일본의 경학은 古學派로부터 본격화 되었으며, 朱ㆍ陽ㆍ漢ㆍ宋에서 心學ㆍ古學ㆍ名物까지 두루 아우른 折衷學派의 자유로운 기풍에서 폭과 품을 키웠으며, 상대적으로 개방적인 주자학파들의 노력이 더해져 幕末에는 고증학이 출현하였다. 竹添進一郞의 『논어회전』은 이러한 일본 경학의 성과를 집대성한 저작이다.

This paper is a review of 竹添進一郞``s 論語會箋. 論語會箋 is the Analects`` commentary containing the main achievements of Gyeonghak in the 江戶 period of Japan. This embraces both 何晏``s 論語集解 and 朱子``s 論語集註; This unique system shows the characteristics of Japanese Gyeonghak. Research for 論語會箋 cited scholars makes it possible to identify the school of Gyeonghak and academic flow of Japan. Under this judgment, academic orientation and trend of 13 scholars Four schools, briefly. This paper derived the following conclusions: The system of 論語會箋 was the product of a system of tradition on the Noneohak in Japan which was developed based on both 集解 and 集註. This means that it essentially followed the tradition of Jujahak``s interpretation, and it was covering the performance of each school from 古學派 to 考證學派. Gyeonghak of Japan was in earnest from the 古學派, and was expanded and intensified from 折衷學派``s free ethos which was covering from 朱ㆍ陽ㆍ漢ㆍ宋 to 心學ㆍ古學ㆍ名物. And the efforts of relatively open-minded scholar of Jujahak had been added to the school, 考證學 was emerging in the late Japan´s feudal government. 竹添進一郞``s 論語會箋 was a result of compilation on Jujahak.
