이 논문은 『세계전후문제시집』에 대한 연구이다. 이 앤솔로지를 1950년대 중후반에서 1960년대 초반에 이르는 한국 전후시사에서 세계시를 직접적으로 번역하는 것의 의미와 번역주체들이 본 세계성의 형상을 집약적으로 보여주는 사료적 가치를 지닌 텍스트로 보고, 다음의 문제를 논구하고자 하였다. 첫째, 이 시집이 가지고 있는 구성적 특성을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 이 시집은 여타의 전집과는 달리 신진 시인들이 번역자로 참여하고 있는 바, 이들이 세계시를 번역하는 것의 궁극적 의미가 무엇인지를 해명하고 당대 신진 시인들이 세계시를 통해 모색한 새로운 시의 이념을 추론하고자 하였다. 『세계전후문제시집』의 세계는 서양(미국, 영국, 프랑스, 독일)과 동양(한국과 일본)을 중심으로 하여 (북유럽, 남유럽, 라틴 아메리카, 인도를 포함한) 기타 대륙으로 구성된다. 냉전 체제 안에서 자유 민주주의의 보편적 가치를 지향하는 가운데 ‘서구적 가치= 현대성’을 지향하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 세계성을 반영하는 데 있어서 『세계전후문학전집』은 ‘공산주의’라는 이념을 괄호 안에 묶는 대신, 불안과 절망이라는 정서적 언어를 응축해내고 있다. 다음으로, 이 전집은 각 나라와 장르를 편집· 병치하는 구성을 보인다. 이런과정을 통해 한국시는 미국, 영국, 프랑스, 독일, 일본과 함께 대등하게 세계문학의 기호 속에 기입되며 이 과정에서‘시’라는 매개를 통해 ‘세계’와 ‘개인’을 ‘세계사적 주체’로 연결시키는 효과를 창출한다. 한편으로, 이 시집은 여타의 전집과는 달리‘외국어 능력’을 갖춘 ‘이중 언어 세대’의 ‘현역시인들’ 중심으로 번역을 진행하였다. 이로 인해 이 시집은 시적 언어로서의 ‘모국어’로서의 가능성을 타진하는 실험장의 역할을 담당하였다. 마지막으로 『세계전후문제시집』에 참여한 시인들이 세계시의 흐름에서 주목한것은 ‘전후’, ‘언어``,‘저항’이다. ‘전후’, ‘언어’, ‘저항’은 ‘전후 세계시’가 공통적으로 주목하는 지점이었으며, 이러한 이념은 한국의 신진 시인들에게 와서 ‘행동하는 언어’라는 명명으로 구체화되는 양상을 보인다.

This paper is a study on the [postwar problematic poetry of world]. In the post-war literature field, the globalization of the Korea Literature- in other word, literary Cosmopolitanism - was a very important issue. In Korean modern poetry``s history from the late 1950s to 1960s, The Anthology is valuable historical materials which shows ``meaning of translation to world poetry`` and ``cosmopolitan awareness`` of young writer who participated in translation. By targeting this anthology, This paper examined process of the idea of forming a new poem in postwar Korean poetry history. This paper research follow topic. First, it aims to study on this anthology’ s constructive characteristics, and look for ‘meaning of translation’ . Second, this paper try to look at the meaning with naming of ``before and after war`` and ``the world``, the ``problem``. This is due to reveal their political unconscious of post-war poets. Next, look at the configuration of the anthology. This is because it reveals a map of the ‘World’ by contemporary poets imagine. Finally, this paper explore the idea of a new world poem is emerging by contemporary poets. This is related to the ultimate effect being given by the markedness Korea in the world. This would mean ‘New poetic ideology’ that the contemporary poetry wanted to fill in the literary field.
