본고에서는 다문화 시대의 문학교육의 방안으로 고전소설에 해당하는 ‘취교전’과 ‘채봉감별곡’을 겹쳐 읽음으로써, 두 문화 간의 공통점과 차이점에 대한 인식을 통해 문화에 대한 근원적 편견을 해소하고 두 문화에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히는 계기로 삼고자 하였다. 문화적 경험과 인식에 있어 친근성이있는 취교전을 토대로, 낯선 문화적 요소를 담고 있는 또 다른 소설인 채봉감 별곡을 접하게 함으로써 베트남 이주민들이 그들 문화에 대한 자부심을 갖고 한국 문화에 대한 이해를 심화시킬 수 있으리라 본다. 한편 한국인에게는 채봉감별곡과 함께 제시되는 취교전을 통해 채봉감별곡과 유사한 내용적 문화적 요소를 확장해 나감으로써 문화의 동등성과 다양성을 실질적인 차원에서 깨닫는 계기가 될 수 있다.우리 문학 교과서에 소수자의 문화와 가치 인식이 담긴 문학작품을 싣고그것을 교육하고자 하는 시도는, 소수자에게 이국땅에서 느낄 수 있는 소외감을 해소하고 그들 문화에 대한 자부심을 안겨다 줄 수 있는 계기가 될 것이다. 아울러 주류문화로 자부하는 한국인들에게도 문화에 대한 근원적 인식전화의 계기가 될 것이며 다수자가 소수자의 삶과 문화를 수용하고 적응해가는 초석이 되리라 본다. 이를 위해 유사한 성격의 작품을 동시에 제시하고 이를 다양한 관점에서 겹쳐 읽게 하는 문학교육은 지금의 현장 교육에서 적극적으로 시행되어야 할 방법적 요소라 할 수 있을 것이다.

This writing intended to dissipate the underlying prejudice against cultures through the perception of the common point and difference between two cultures, and to give a momentum for broadening the range of the understanding of two cultures by doing inter-textual reading of the two workswhich belong to a classical novel as a cultural teaching methodology. Also, this writing intended to deepen Vietnamese immigrants’ understanding of thecultural traits of Korea without losing pride in their cultures by getting them to come into contact with another novel including unfamiliar culture elements on the basis of a work which is familiarity to their cultural experience and perception. Meanwhile, for Koreans, this writing intended to arrange for an opportunity for them to awaken the cultural parity & diversity at a practicallevel by expanding the similar content, cultural elements through Vietnamese novels suggested along with ‘Chaebonggambyeolgok’. This writing thinks that the attempt to contain the literary works including a minority’s perception of culture and value in our literature texts, and to teach them will be a great opportunity for a minority to resolve a sense of alienation which they might feel in a foreign land, and to bring them self-respect for their cultures.
