This study aims to examine the effects of the social and economic characteristics, social support and family belief upon the ordinary life targeted to head of woman single parent household. It is to provide basic resources for customized service and support program to single parent family at a social welfare field. Questionnaire survey was carried out to single parent households in Daegu Metropolitan City. Four-hundred eighty questionnaire sheets were distributed and 454 of them were used for the analysis was made by using SPSS 18.0. According to the result, independent willingness is an important factor for life satisfaction. Thus, it needs a plan to reinforce independent willingness and social support together. Secondly, as social support is the factor affecting a life satisfaction the most, systematic and continual counseling and program should be conducted on child care of woman single parent, scar by divorce or separation by death and anxiety of poverty.
