본 연구는 평창 동계올림픽에 대한 위기인식과 올림픽기대감, 협력의사 간의 영향관계를 분석하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 구체적으로는 동계올림픽 개최지역인 강원도지역 주민과 비 개최지역인 수도권지역 주민이 인식하는 위기인식과 올림픽 기대 감, 그리고 협력의사의 차이를 규명하고자 하였으며, 각 지역별로 위기인식이 올림픽기대감과 협력의사에 어떠한 영향을 미치 는지 분석하고자 하였다. 자료 수집을 위해 강원도 지역과 수도권 지역의 주민 600명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료 중 불성실한 응답을 제외한 542부의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 자료처리는 PASW 18.0 프로그램을 이용하 였으며, 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 독립표본 t-test, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 연구결 과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 위기인식의 하위요인 중에서 경제적 요인과 환경적 요인에서 지역에 따른 유의미한 차이가 나타났으 며, 수도권지역 주민들에 비해 강원도지역 주민들의 위기인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 올림픽기대감은 지역에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않은 반면에 협력의사에서는 강원도지역 주민들이 통계적으로 높은 수준의 협력의사를 보이는 것으로 나타 났다. 둘째, 강원도지역의 경우 위기인식 요인 중 경제적 요인과 환경적 요인이 올림픽기대감과 협력의사에 모두 부정적인 영 향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 수도권 지역의 경우 경제적 요인만이 올림픽기대감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으 며, 협력의사에는 유의미한 영향관계가 발견되지 않았다.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the effects of crisis situation on Olympic expectancy and supportive intentions and to compare differences between hosting community and non-hosting community of Pyeongchang Winter Olympic. 600 questionnaires in total, 300 questionnaires each from hosting community and non-hosting community, were distributed and 542 samples were used for data analysis. Techniques used for data analysis were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, independent samples t-test, and multiple regression analysis using PASW 18.0. The results were as follows: First, crisis recognition between non-hosting community and hosting community were significantly different in economic factors, environmental factors and crisis recognition for hosting community was higher than non-hosting community. However, Olympic expectancy showed no difference according to area, whereas, hosting community showed statistically higher degree of supportive intentions; second, the results showed that in the case of hosting community, their crisis recognition for economic factors and environmental factors had a negative effect on Olympic expectancy and supportive intentions. In the case of non-hosting community, crisis recognition for economic factors only had a negative effect on Olympic expectancy but no significant effect was found for supportive intentions.
