This paper is based on a comparative analysis in order to study the corresponding expression of a Korean suffix(ending) “-는데” in Chinese. In Korean, “-는데” not only has the function of connecting suffix(ending), but also can be used at the end of the sentence to do with termination. Previous comparative studies of China and Korea mainly take the connecting suffix(ending) “-는데” as the object of analysis. In this paper, the research objects includes not only the connecting suffix(ending) “-는데” but also the final suffix(ending) “-는데”, and “-는데” which appears at the end of the sentence but still has the function of a connecting suffix(ending). This is a point where this parer is different from the previous studies. To carry out this study, this paper, based on the dictionary and the results of the first study, divides the meaning of “-는데” which has the function of connecting suffix(ending) into three kinds of meanings: “premise condition prompts”, “control condition prompts”, and “prompts based on reasons “, divides the meaning of “-는데” which has the function of final suffix(ending) into three kinds of meanings: “Sigh”, “look forward to the response of other side, and “questions which require to answer”. Then carry on the contrast analysis respectively.
