There can be only three tenses - present, past and future tense. As the Chinese language has three tenses, Korean has three tenses too. But the aspect is not the same concept of the tense. In Korean, there will be 5 kinds of aspect like below. 1) - 었- indicates the aspect of perfect, 2) -어 있- indicates the aspect of continuance, 3) -고 있- indicates the aspect of progress, 4) -겠- indicates the aspect of guess and will, and 5) -더- indicates the aspect of transmission, If we do distinctively teach the difference of tense and aspect, the Chinese students can easily understand the complicated endings of Korean Language.
