본 연구의 목적은 청소년 사이버상담에 입문한 상담자들이 사이버상담 환경에서 적응하는 경험을이해하고 그 적응의 과정과 구조를 확인하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 청소년을 대상으로 사이버상담을 수행하는 연구참여자 10명을 심층면접 하였고 수집한 자료를 Strauss와 Corbin(2001)이 시한 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 최종적으로 108개의 개념과 32개의 하위범주그리고 14개의 범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구의 핵심범주는 ‘지속적 전문성 추구를 위한 과도기적 정체성 수용’으로 나타났다. 인과적 조건은 ‘조기 입문에의 열정’과 ‘내담자 익명성으로 인한 혼란’이었으며, 중심현상은 ‘사이버상담에 대한 좌절’로 드러났다. 맥락적 조건은 ‘사이버상담 장면에 대한 불안’과 ‘기관내의 갈등’이었고, 중재적 조건은 ‘사이버상담에 대한 효과인식’, ‘사이버상담에 대한 도전의식’, ‘동료의 지지’가 도출되었다. 작용/상호작용 전략은 ‘사이버상담 전문성 향상노력’, ‘교육시스템을 통한 성장 노력’, ‘매너리즘의 극복’으로 드러났다. 결과는 ‘인간 이해와 수용력 확장’, ‘사이버상담자로서의 숙련도 증진’, ‘전문성에 대한 지속적 추구’로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 드러난 청소년 사이버상담자들의 적응경험은 사이버상담에 입문하는 상담자들에게 시행착오를 줄일 수 있는 역할을할 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the adjustment process of the cyber counselors, who started cyber counseling for adolescent, and suggest a substantial theory that explains the adaptation structure and process of the cyber counselors. For this, the cyber counselors for adolescent participating in the study were 10 persons and the data from the in-depth interview on them were analyzed by applying the grounded theory method based on Strauss & Corbin(2001). As a result of this analysis, 108 concepts, 32 subcategories, and 14 categories were derived. The Core category was ‘Acceptance transitional identity for continuing professional pursuit’, The study found the casual conditions were ‘Enthusiasm in the initial entrance’, ‘Confusion due to client’s anonymity’, The central phenomenon was ‘Frustration about cyber counseling’. The contextual conditions were ‘Anxiety about cyber counseling scenes’ and ‘Conflicts in the institution’, and the intervening conditions were found to be ‘Recognition of effects on cyber counseling’, ‘Challenge spirit about cyber counseling’, and ‘Support of colleagues’ and the action/interactional strategies were derived as ‘Effort to improve the cyber counseling specialty’, ‘Growth effort through the education system’ and ‘Overcome of mannerism. In addition, The adaptation consequences were ‘Improvement of the ability to understand and accommodate humans’, ‘Proficiency improvement as a cyber counselor’ and ‘Consistent pursuit for a specialty’. This study is expected to reduce the past trials and errors of cyber counseling beginners.
