본 연구의 목적은 상담 장면에서 상담자와 내담자에게 나타나는 몰입을 관계적 맥락에서 살펴보고이들 간의 구조를 규명하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 서울, 경기, 충청, 경상도, 전라도 지역의 대학상담센터, 상담복지센터, Wee센터의 상담자와 내담자를 한 쌍으로 하여 총 138쌍의 자료를 수집하였고이를 이용하여 구조방정식 모형 검증을 실시하였다. 순차적 완전매개모형과 부분매개모형을 각각 연구모형과 경쟁모형으로 설정하고 적합도 분석, 모수추정치 검토를 통해 연구모형의 타당성을 검증하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다 첫째, 상담자 몰입은 상담자 공감을 매개하여 내담자 몰입에 영향을 미친다. 상담자 몰입은 상담자 공감에 영향을 미치고 상담자 공감은 내담자 몰입에 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 상담자 공감은 내담자 몰입을 매개하여 내담자 자기성찰에 영향을 미친다. 상담자 공감은 내담자 몰입에 영향을 미치고 내담자 몰입은 내담자 자기성찰에 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 상담자몰입은 상담자 공감과 내담자 몰입을 매개하여 내담자 자기성찰에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 상담자와 내담자 양 측면에서 상담몰입을 실증적으로 검증하였고 상담자 측면에서 공감을 높이기 위해 필요한 조건이라는 것과 내담자의 탐색 및 이해를 돕는 데 간접적으로 작용함을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 하지만 연구대상 수집의 어려움으로 연구방법적인 면에서 몇 가지 제한점을 가진다.

The purpose of this article is to examine the role of flow appearing to counselors and clients during counseling session and structure among counselor``s flow, counselor``s empathy, client``s flow and client``s reflection. This research was carried out by 138 pairs, counselors and clients, from university counselling centers, welfare counselling centers and Wee centers. We set the sequential full mediation model to a research model and partial mediation model to a competing model, then verify the equation model through analysis of model fit and parameter estimated value. Following is the summary of this research. First, counselor``s flow have influences on client``s flow mediating counselor``s empathy. Second, counselor``s empathy have influences on client``s self-reflection mediating client``s flow. Third, counselor``s flow have influences on client``s flow mediating counselor``s empathy and client``s flow. This study plays a role in attempting to confirm the influence of the counselor``s flow scientifically and analyzing with integrated aspect of counselor, client, and communication. The study indicates that counselor``s flow is prerequisite for counselor’s empathy, and affect indirectly on client’s exploration and understanding, but this study has several methodical limitations for difficulty of sampling.
