본 연구의 목적은 베이비부머 세대들의 사회적 관계망 유형이 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 확인하고자 하였다. 1955년부터 1963년 사이에 태어난 161명의 베이비부머 세대를 대상으로 삶의 질의 측정을 위해 세계보건기구 삶의 질 측정도구(World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF)를 사용하였고, 사회적 관계망을 파악하기 위해 사회적 관계망(LSNS-K18)을 사용하였다. 사회적 관계망과 삶의 질 간의 상관성을 분석한 결과, 사회적 관계망, 가족, 이웃, 친구, 연봉, 근무년수가 삶의 질과 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 또한 베이비부머 세대의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 변인을 확인한 결과 가족, 근무년수, 연령, 친구가 삶의 질 변화에 영향을 미치는 유의한 요인으로 R²은 26%의 설명력을 보였다. 베이비부머 세대의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 변수는 가족(p < .001), 근무년수(p < .01), 연령(p < .05), 친구(p <.05) 순으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 베이비부머 세대의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 이들 변인들을 반드시 고려해야 할 것이며, 그 중에서도 베이비부머 세대와 관계를 맺는 가족에 대한 관심과 퇴직 이 후지속적인 경제 활동에 참여할 수 있는 지원이 고려되어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the types of social relationship network of the baby boom generation on their quality of life. In order to measure quality of life targeting 161 baby boomers born between 1955 and 1963, World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF was used, and to grasp social relationship network, LSNS-K18 was used. As a result of analyzing the correlation between social relationship network and quality of life, social relationship network, family, neighbors, friends, annual salary, and years of service had a positive (+) correlation with quality of life. In addition, as a result of examining the variables influencing quality of life of the baby boom generation, family, years of service, age, and friends turned out to be significant variables influencing change of quality of life, where R² showed 26% explanation power. Family(p <.001) turned out to be the variable influencing quality of life of the baby boom generation the most, followed by years of service(p < .01), age(p < .05), and friends(p < .05), in order. Based on the study results, in order to improve quality of life of the baby boom generation, these variables must be focused, and most of all, interest in families related with the baby boom generation and support for baby boomers to continuously participate in economic activities after retirement should be deeply considered.
