본 연구는 일반 유아 및 아동의 자아존중감 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려진 그림책을 활용한 문학치료가 정서ㆍ행동장애유아의 자아존중감 증가에 효과를 나타내는지를 알아보기위하여 수행되었다. 연구 대상은 K시 소재 A어린이집의 총 26명의 정서ㆍ행동장애유아이며, 선정된 유아들을 대상으로 각각 13명씩 프로그램 참여집단과 통제집단으로 무선배치하였다. 사전-사후-추후 통제집단 설계방법으로 실험처치와 효과를 검증하였다. 프로그램참여집단과 통제집단에 각각 사전-사후-추후검사를 실시하고 프로그램참여집단에게는 문학치료 프로그램을 실시하고, 통제집단에는 처치를 제공하지 않았다. 그림책을 활용한 문학치료 프로그램을 개발하고 사전검사를 실시한 후, 4주에 걸쳐 주2~3회씩 총 10회 실시하였고, 사후검사 및 추후검사를 실시하였다. 프로그램의 효과가 유의한지 알아보기 위해 문학치료 프로그램 참여여부를 독립변수로 하고, 자아존중감 변화량, 자아존중감 하위요인 변화량을 종속변수로 하여 일원배치 분산분석(One-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 그림책을 활용한 문학치료 중재를 통하여 정서ㆍ행동장애유아의 자아존중감이 향상되었다. 또한 그림책을 활용한 문학치료 프로그램을 통하여 정서ㆍ행동장애유아의 유아의 자아존중감 하위 영역 중 인지적 능력, 신체적 능력, 어머니 수용, 자기수용 능력을 향상되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 그림책을 활용한 문학치료 프로그램이 정서ㆍ행동장애유아의 자아존중감 향상에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

This study was to examine the effectiveness of using literary therapy program by using picture books to increase the self-esteem of preschoolers for EBD. The participants are 26 preschoolers who under the age of 5, of a nursery school located in ‘K’ City. 13 preschoolers who agreed to participate were the experiment group, the other preschoolers were the control group. The result of this study showed that literary therapy program by using picture books was an effective intervention technique for preschoolers with emotional and behavior problems. The study provided empirical data how to apply and utilize literary therapy program by using picture books as a tool of integrated therapy with emotional and behavior disabled preschoolers based upon the results, and the value of the study can be found in the empirical data. In conclusion, this study showed that the literary therapy program by using picture books was effective to increase the self-esteem of preschoolers for EBD.
