본 연구는 남성 척수장애인집단과 대조군의 심리적 요인, 부부관계 요인, 결혼관련 요인 및 결혼안정성을 비교하고, 남성 척수장애인의 결혼안정성에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 현재 결혼생활을 유지하고 있고, 재활병원에 입원중이거나 외래진료를 받는 척수장애인, 장애인 스포츠 동호회 및 전국 종목별 대회에 참가한 남성 척수장애인 127명과 대조군으로 남성 비장애인 114명이다. 연구도구는 자아존중감 척도, 낙관성 척도, 배우자지지척도, 부부 애정행동 척도, 결혼대안 척도, 결혼해체장애 척도, 결혼만족도 척도, 결혼안정성 척도를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남성 척수장애인집단과 대조군은 결혼 안정성과 관련된 요인 중 자아존중감, 낙관성, 애정행동, 결혼만족도에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 남성 척수장애인집단의 결혼안정성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 직업, 총수입평균, 낙관성, 애정행동, 결혼만족도로 나타났고, 대조군의 결혼안정성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 자아존중감, 애정행동, 결혼만족도로 나타났다. 본 연구는 남성 척수장애인의 결혼안정성에 영향을 미치는 심리사회적 요인들에 심층적으로 접근하여 이들의 행복한 가정생활영위에 도움을 주고심리적, 신체적 재활을 위한 상담 프로그램 개발에 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

The purposes of this study were to compare psychological, matrimonial relative, and marital relative factors and marital stability of males with spinal cord injury, and to research the explanation ability of factors on their marital stability. The subjects were 114 males without disability and 127 males with spinal cord injury who were patients in rehabilitation hospitals, members of sports clubs for the disabled, or participants in national sports events, who were in their marital lives. The results of this study were as follows; First, males with spinal cord injury showed lower self-esteem, optimism level, affection behavior, and marital satisfaction than of the control group. Second, the factors which affect their marital stability were occupation, average total income, optimism level, affection behavior and marital satisfaction. The factors onto their control group were self-esteem, affection behavior and marital satisfaction. Thus, this study showed significant result that it secured meaningful data for overall understanding on the marital life of males with spinal cord injury, through fundamental approach for psychosocial factors for the factors which affect their marital stability.
