주의력결핍과잉행동장애(ADHD)는 흔히 학령기에 진단되는 장애이지만 그렇다고 해서 유아기에 그 증상이 나타나지 않는 것은 아니다. 최근 이 장애의 높은 출현율로 인해 유아교육기관 교사들은 유아지도에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구는 교사의 지시에 잘 따르지 못하고 산만하여 다른 또래들의 학습도 방해하게 되는 ADHD 성향을 가진 유아를 대상으로, 역할놀이를 구조화하여 시청하게 하고 그대로 시연하게 함으로써 ADHD 성향 유아들이 학업을 방해함이 없이 놀이에 잘 참여하는지를 보고자 하였다. 놀이참여는 놀이 중 바른 태도를 갖는 것과 놀이에서 요구하는 과제를 잘 수행하는지의 여부로 측정하였다. 사용된 연구설계는 AB설계로서 또래모델링역할놀이가 놀이참여의 변화에 영향을 미치는 하나의 요인이 될 수 있는지를 알아볼 수 있는 설계이다. 연구결과, ADHD 성향을 가진 2명의 대상 유아들이 일관적으로 중재이후에 긍정적인 행동변화를 나타냈고 중재가 철회된 유지기간에도 중재단계에서의 변화된 행동수준을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 일관적인 행동변화를 볼 때, 또래모델링역할놀이가 ADHD 성향 유아의 놀이참여 행동을 변화시키는 하나의 요인이 될 수 있음을 의미하는 것으로 해석할 수 있다.

ADHD children who are easily seen in the field of education in which an inclusive education is performed, were going through lots of difficulties while being isolated in the relationship with peers due to their constant wandering about alone, carelessness, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity, and they need much more care from teachers. In order to improve the participation of ADHD children in play, this study aims to take good attitude, and performance of assignments as target behavior by performing peer modeling role play, and to prove their effect on the participation in play. Concerning research subjects, the study selected 2 ADHD children, and 4 peer children. As research methods, the study used the AB design, and when there appear stable numerical values during the baseline period, it pursued research in the procedures of intervention and maintenance. For role play, the study referenced research into social drama play by Gwon Gi Jin (2004), and utilized a role play activity with 20 topics contained in teaching source books for the educational activity in kindergartens, published by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, as an intervention program. Also, the study performed the role play activity twice a week, totaling 16 weeks, and 20 minutes per session. The research result found that ADHD children showed changes in behaviors while participating in the play, such as good attitude, and behavior of performing assignments after the peer modeling role play. The peer modeling role play in the educational activity in kindergartens was effective for ADHD children`s participation in play.
