본 연구에서의 주요 연구 목적은 초등학교 재학생들 중에서 특히 학교 부적응 문제로 곤란을 겪는 아동들을 돕기 위한 미술치료 콘텐츠의 현장 적용 프로그램 실시에 따른 효율성을 알아보는 것이었다. 즉, 본 연구를 위해 개발된 미술 치료 콘텐츠가 모-자의 상호작용을 증진시키는 동시에 아동의 부적응행동 감소 효과에 기여 하는지를 파악 하고자 하였다. 연구 대상의 모집단은 S시에 소재한 3개의 초등학교 1학년 재학생들로 하였다. 모집단에서 특히 부적응행동 문제로 학교생활에 곤란을 경험하는 아동과 어머니, 6명을 목적 표집 대상으로 하였고, 연구의 진행은 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하여 진행하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면 먼저 기초선 측정 단계에서의 매우 낮은 모-자의 긍정적 상호작용 발생 수준이 프로그램 적용 중재 후 안정된 긍정적 상호작용으로 전환 변화 되었고 부정적 상호작용 수준은 의미 있게 감소하였다. 다음은 기초선 단계에서 아동의 부적응행동 발생 수준은 매우 높았으나, 프로그램 적용중재 후 대상아동들에게 평균적으로 유의미한 프로그램중재 효과가 나타난 것이 확인 되었다. 또한 긍정적 방향으로의 행동변화도 수반 되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구에 적용 실시된 미술치료 콘텐츠의 효율성이 확보 되었다는 해석이 가능하다. 동시에 본 연구에 적용된 미술치료 프로그램 실행자체가 모-자간의 긍정적 상호 작용 증진에 기여 할 수 있고, 동시에 아동의 학교생활 부적응 행동 문제 해결에 기여 할 수 있다는 결론을 제시 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of art therapy content program as a targeted intervention for reducing problem behaviors of children with adaptive behavior problems in their classroom. Specifically, this study was Interested in how interventions based on mother-child relationship changes for the children`s school adjustments. The participants in this study were three first grade elementary school children and their 3 mothers, total in 6 participants. A multiple baseline across participants was used to evaluate the effects of increasing mothers` positive verbal reinforcement and the children`s positive behaviors. Results demonstrated the effectiveness of the art therapy content program in reducing problem behaviors and improving the pro-social incorporating mother-child interactional relationships. Also the results confirm the importance of understanding and providing a good family relationships for the children with problem behaviors. Implications and future directions are provided.
