본 연구는 K도 소재 특수학교에 재학 중인 장애학생 학부모를 대상으로 특수교육 관련서비스 이용 실태 및 관련 욕구를 파악하고자 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 학부모들은 장애 자녀의 사회ㆍ정서적 발달을 위해서 특수교육 관련서비스가 필요하다고 하였으며, 프로그램은 질적 수준이 높은 전문치료사가 개별 및 집단지도 형태로 주당 3회 정도 특수학교에서 전액 무료로 지원해야 한다고 하였다. 또한, 특수교육 관련서비스 중에서는 치료지원 영역에서의 욕구가 가장 높았으며, 치료지원 및 재활치료 중에서는 음악치료에 대한 욕구가 가장 높게 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 장애학생 및 장애학생 학부모가 이용하는 특수교육 관련서비스 비용에 대하여 국가의 책무성을 강화하여야 한다. 둘째, 도농통합지역에도 장애학생들과 학부모들이 참여할 수 있는 다양한 관련서비스 제공기관을 설치하고, 다양한 프로그램을 제공하여야 한다. 셋째, 특수교육 관련서비스 제공기관의 시설과 인력에 대한 실질적인 평가인증이 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 장애학생의 특성 및 가족의 요구에 적절한 다양한 특수교육 관련서비스에 대한 전폭적인 지원이 이루어져야 한다. 다섯째, 장애학생의 특성과 학부모의 요구에 적절한 다양한 치료지원 프로그램이 제공되어야 한다. 여섯째, 장애학생과 관련된 모든 전문가들이 협력적 팀 접근을 통하여 특수교육 관련서비스를 제공하여야 한다. 일곱째, 특수학교 내에 치료지원을 전담하는 전문치료사(특수교사)의 배치 방안에 대한 모색이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the parent`s needs on special education related services for students with disabilities enrolled in special schools. The questionnaires were distributed to the parents of students with disabilities. The results from the data analyzed were summarized as follows. First, the nation should strengthen its accountability about usage expenses of special education related services. Second, various programs and institutions should be developed in urban-rural integration regions in order for students with disabilities and their parents to participate in. Third, substantial evaluative accreditation systems should be applied to facilities and human resources of special education related institutions. Fourth, various special education related services, appropriate to the characteristics of students with disabilities and the needs of their families should be made for full support. Fifth, various therapy support related programs, appropriate to the characteristics of students with disabilities and the needs of their families should be offered. Sixth, all experts related to students with disabilities should provide special education related services through their transdisciplinary teams approach. Seventh, special schools should seek for the placement plan about therapists(special education teachers) for therapy supports.
