본 연구의 목적은 성인 지적장애인을 대상으로 직업재활을 시행할 때, 대상자 능력에 맞춘 직무분석과 개별교육이 소근육 기능과 사회성 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상자는 총 15명의 성인 지적장애인으로, 지적장애 1급이 9명, 2급이 5명, 3급이 1명이었다. 직무분석을 통하여 개별교육을 제공하는 직업재활 프로그램은 2010년 4월 5일 ~10월 25일까지 실시하였으며, 매주 월요일 2시 ~ 3시 까지, 총 28회 수행하였다. 소근육 기능 및 사회성을 평가하기 위하여 퍼듀 페그보드 검사(Purdue pegboard test), 사회성숙도 검사(Social Maturity Scale, SMS)를 사용하였고, 도움의 양 정도를 측정하였다. 연구 결과 직업재활 프로그램 중재 후 소근육의 민첩성을 평가한 퍼듀 페그보드 검사에서 오른손, 양손, 협응 영역은 향상되었으며, 사회성숙도 검사에서 사회연령과 사회지수가 향상되었다. 그리고 직업재활 프로그램 중재 후 대상자에게 도움을 제공하는 양이 감소하여, 독립수행의 정도가 증가함을 의미하였다. 따라서 개별 교육을 통한 직업재활이 성인 지적장애인들의 소근육 기능 증진과 사회성 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 제공함을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to find out how vocational rehabilitation through individualized education enhances fine motor skill and sociality of adult with intellectual disabilities. The subjects were 15 persons, 9 of 1 grade, 5 of 2 grades and 1 of 3 grades with intellectual disabilities adult among 18-30 years person. Vocational rehabilitation program through individualized education was offered to the subjects for 7 months, 28 sessions for 60 minutes in each session. Fine motor skill were measured by Purdue pegboard test, sociality were measured by Social Maturity Scale and the amount of assistance was measured by 5 Likert scale. The results, right hand, both hands, assembly subtest in Purdue pegboard test, Social Maturity Scale and Measure of the amount of assistance showed statistically significant differences (p < .05). It will be suggest the evidence that vocational rehabilitation through individualized education positively showed the improvement of fine motor skill and sociality of adult with intellectual disabilities. Further study is needed for researching the work outcome and social adaptive skill intellectual disabilities person.
