본 연구는 청각장애노인의 사회적 고립감, 가족기능이 청각장애노인의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하여 재활실천에 함의를 제시하고자 하였다. 2011년 8월 1일부터 2011년 8월 31일까지 대구청각ㆍ언어장애인복지관을 이용한 적이 있는 65세 이상 청각장애노인100명을 대상으로 개별 방문하여 면접조사를 실시하였으며, 조사 시 부재중이거나 응답을 거부한 7명을 제외한 93명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술 분석 및 상관분석, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요결과는 장애정도에서 농노인이, 성별에서 여성이 정서적고립감이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 학력에서는 무학이 정서적 소외감이 높은 것으로, 종교를가지고 있는 집단이 생활만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 보호구분에서는 수급자가 사회적 고립감의 하위변수의 모든 영역에서 높게 나타났다. 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 최종모형이 유의하였으며, 사회적ㆍ정서적 고립감, 가족기능이 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이중 가족기능이 생활만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 가족과 함께 할 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 실천을 통하여 가족 간의 유대감을 강화하여야 한다.

This study was intended to explore the effects of social isolation and family functioning on life satisfaction in the elderly with hearing impairments and then to suggest practical implication for rehabilitation. One hundred seniors with hearing-impairment, aged 65 and over, who had registered Daegu Rehabilitation Center, were individually visited and interviewed from August 1 through August 31, 2011. A final data consisted of 93 subjects after excluding 7 persons who were absent at home or refused to respond to interview. Descriptive analysis, mean difference tests, correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were conducted. Results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that emotional isolation, social isolation, and family function predict significantly life satisfaction. Findings imply that family function should be emphasized in rehabilitation programs for elderly with hearing impairment.
