본 연구는 국내 이동보조기기 사용자들의 안전사고와 관련된 실태를 조사하기 위하여 실시하였다. 휠체어의 사용증가는 휠체어 안전사고와 같은 불리한 상황의 증가도 더불어 야기하였다. 전국 권역(서울, 경기, 부산, 광주, 대전)의 장애인복지관과 자립생활센터를 이용하고 있고 수동휠체어, 전동휠체어, 전동스쿠터를 사용하는 장애인을 대상으로 사고와 관련된 임상적 요인, 사고 환경, 사용 패턴에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문결과 사고원인은 주로 물리적 환경이었으며, 충돌에 의해 하지 및 상지가 열상과 타박상을 주로 경험하였다. 사고는 도로와 경사면에서 주로 발생하였으며, 발생시간은 오후와 저녁에 집중되었다. 사용자의 대부분 안전벨트를 사용하지 않고 있었으며, 기기에 대한 사용교육, 정기적 관리, 그리고 보조공학 전문가의 서비스 등이 전혀 이뤄지지 않았다. 이동보조기기에 대한 전문가를 통한 사용 패턴 교육, 정기적 관리 체계 구축, 그리고 사용환경에 대한 점검 및 개선을 통해 안전사고의 발생율을 감소시킬 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was conducted to the safety incidents survey of mobility assistive device users. The increase of the use of a mobility assistive device is the main cause of the accident was the mobility assistive device securement. The survey was conducted accident environment, clinical factor, device-using behaviors related to mobility assistive device user to use disabled welfare centers and independent living centers nationwide(Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon). The accident suffered mainly physical environment and then a laceration or contusion of the lower extremities and upper extremities due to collision. The accident occurred mainly in the road and ramp, the time of occurrence was concentrated in the afternoon and evening. and then the majority of users without the use of a safety belt, and also equipment for educational use, regular maintenance, and professionally prescribed device could not be done at all. Mobility assistive device service usage pattern training, management system regularly by experts and checking and improving for the operating environment will be able to reduce the incidence of safety accidents.
