본 연구는 의사소통 유형이 정서조절방략을 매개로 정서표현갈등에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 18세 이상의 남, 여 432명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고 SPSS 15.0과 AMOS7.0을 활용 다중회귀분석, 경로모형 분석을 하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 의사소통유형중 회유형, 비난형, 일치형의 수준이 높을수록 부정적 정서표현갈등에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 회유형과 일치형수준이 높을수록 재해석 조절방략을 매개로 부정적 정서표현갈등에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 경로를 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 의사소통유형과 정서표현갈등에 대한 정서조절방략의 매개효과 결과를 통해, 의사소통유형과 정서표현갈등을 매개하는 정서조절방략들로는 부정적 정서의 표현갈등에는 ‘인식과 이해’와 ‘재해석’ 방략이었으며, 긍정적 정서의 표현갈등에는 ‘회피분산’과 ‘능동대처’ 방략이 매개하였다. 의사소통유형이 정서표현갈등에 대부분의 영향을 직ㆍ간접적으로 미치고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 의사소통유형이 정서조절방략을 매개로 하여 정서표현갈등 대부분에 영향을 직ㆍ간접적으로 미치고있는 것을 확인하였으며, 연구 결과는 본 연구가 지닌 한계점을 고려하여 이해되어야 하며, 후속적인 제언이 논의되었다.

Communication types had direct effects on negative emotional expression conflict as the levels of conciliation, criticism, and agreement grew, while having indirect effects on negative emotional expression conflict as the levels of conciliation and agreement grew by the medium of reinterpretation regulation strategy. From the results of mediation effects of emotion regulation strategy on communication type and emotional expression conflict, emotion regulation strategies mediating communication type and emotional expression conflict included “recognition and understanding” and “reinterpretation” as expression conflict of negative emotion, and “avoidant distraction” and “active coping” as expression conflict of positive emotion. However, the mediation effects of such parameters were relatively lower, and communication type had mostly direct and indirect effects on emotional expression conflict. However, the results of this study should be understood within the limitations in this study, and further studies may be needed to complement the results.
