장애인 등에 대한 특수교육법이 제정된 이후 통합교육에 대한 요구 증가와 함께 조기 통합의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 장애관련 선(先)경험이 예비교사의 통합교육에 대한 인식과 어떠한 관련이 있는지 알아보았다. 본 연구는 A지역에 있는 대학의 유아교육과 재학생 259명을 대상으로 하였다. 설문지를 사용하여 장애관련 선(先)경험에 따른 장애유아통합교육의 인식에 대해 알아보았고, 설문내용은 예비유아교사의 장애관련 선(先)경험과 통합교육에 관한 생각을 묻는 질문으로 구성하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 장애관련 선(先)경험 중 장애를 가진 가족 및 친구가 있는 경우, 학창시절 특수교육대상자와의 통합교육의 경험이 있는 경우, 장애관련 프로그램을 시청했던 경험이 있는 경우에는 특수교육대상유아 통합교육에 대한 인식이 긍정적이었다. 그러나 특수교육대상유아 지도에 있어서는 지도 경험이 없는 예비유아교사가 통합교육에 더긍정적으로 인식하였다. 마지막으로 장애인시설 봉사활동 경험에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없었다.

Special education laws for persons with disabilities and others are enacted and a recent special education emphasizes the importance of early interaction along with increase in demands for inclusive education. The purpose of this study was to examine pre-kindergarten teachers’ attitude toward inclusive education for disabled children. The subjects of this study were 259 early childhood education students attending an university in a province. This study used a survey to examine pre-kindergarten teachers’ attitude toward inclusive education for previous experience with disability. The questions on pre-kindergarten teachers’ previous experience with disability and inclusive education were evaluated on a Likert’s scale of 1 through 5. The following are the findings of this study: pre-kindergarten teachers were positive about inclusive education for children with disability when there were people with disability in their family or friends, they had experience with inclusive education with disabled children as children, and they had experience watching TV programs on disability. In terms of their experience instructing children with disability, those without previous experience were more positive about inclusive education for disabled children. However, there was no significant difference according to volunteer activities at children with disability.
