이 연구는 특수학교(급) 고등부 전환교육 실행에 대한 교사의 배경변인(교직경력, 소속학교, 전환교육관련 수업 및 연수 경험)별 인식수준을 구체적으로 분석하는데 주안점을 두었다. 이를 위해 전국 고등학교 특수학급 교사 100명과 특수학교 고등부 교사 100명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 전환교육 실행에 대한 중요도 및 수행도 인식수준을 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등부 교사들의 중요도 인식수준은 보통 이상의 ‘높음’ 수준이고, 수행도 인식수준은 ‘보통’ 이상 수준으로 수행도가 중요도에 비해 낮다. 둘째, 교사의 배경변인에 따른 중요도 인식수준에서 교직경력이 20년 이상으로 높은 교사의 중요도가 가장 낮고 그 외의 경력 교사의 중요도는 비슷하다. 또한 소속 학교가 일반 고등학교 특수학급 교사의 중요도가 특수학교 고등부 교사의 중요도보다 높고 전환교육 관련 수업 및 연수경험이 있는 교사가 경험이 없는 교사보다 인식수준이 높다. 셋째, 교사의 배경변인에 따른 수행도 인식수준에서는 교직경력이 수행도에 크게 영향을 주지 않고, 소속 학교에 따른 수행도는 일반 고등학교 특수학급 교사가 특수학교 고등부 교사보다 높다. 또한 전환교육관련 수업 및 연수 경험이 있는 교사가 경험이 없는 교사보다 인식수준이 높다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of special education teachers on transition education practice in high school youth groups of special school and special classes of high school by detailed analysis on perception level of special education teachers on importance and performance for transition education practice. For the purpose, 100 teachers in high school youth groups of special schools and 100 teachers in special classes of high schools were selected to perform t-test and F test after surveying the teachers’ perception level on the importance and the performance. The findings are as follows. First, the perception level of the teachers on the importance is higher than the performance. Second, in teachers’ perception level on the importance based on the background of teachers, the perception level of teachers whose teaching career is more than 20 years is lowest, and the perception level of teachers with the other teaching careers is similar. The perception level of the teachers in the special classes in high schools is higher than in the high school youth groups in the special schools. The perception level of teachers with the experience of training or classes related the transition education is higher teachers without it. Third, in teachers’ perception level on the performance based on the background of teachers, the perception level of the teachers in the special classes in high schools is higher than in the high school youth groups of the special schools. The perception level of teachers with the experience of training or classes related the transition education is higher teachers without it.
