급속한 산업화에 따른 산업재해(산재) 근로자 수의 증가는 원직복귀를 포함하여 이들의조기 직업복귀의 중요성을 한층 부각시키고 있다. 산재장애인의 원직복귀는 사업주와 근로자 모두에게 건강 증진, 생산성 향상, 경제적 안정, 자존감 향상 등과 같은 여러 가지 긍정적 효과를 가져다 줄 수 있기 때문이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 예비조사를 통해 원직복귀 대상 선정기준 개발 시 포함되어야 할 핵심적 요인들을 파악하고자 시도하였다. 이 같은 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 국내외의 산재장애인 원직복귀 현황과 원직복귀 성공요인 등에 관한 선행 연구들을 검토하였다. 다음으로, 다년간 원직복귀 업무를 담당하고 있는 근로복지공단의 job coordinator들을 대상으로 3차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 수행하였다. 1차 델파이 조사를 통해 원직복귀 적격 대상자 선정 시 고려해야 할 요인들을 선정하였다. 2, 3차 델파이 조사를 통해서는 이렇게 선정된 요인들 각각에 대한 중요성과 적절성 정도를 평가하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 도출된 중요도와 적절성 점수를 토대로 각 항목에 대해 가중치를 부여하여 이들을 4개의 구간에 배치함으로서 원직복귀 대상 선정을 위한 평가도구의 구성요인을 제시하였다.

An increase in the number of industrially injured workers as a result of rapid industrialization has contributed to an awareness of the importance of an early return to work among rehabilitation professionals. Return to work can bring a variety of positive effects for both employers and injured workers, including better health, improvement of work productivity, economic stability, and enhancement of self-esteem. Thus the purpose of this investigation is to identify major components that should be included in the evaluation protocol to select qualified individuals for return to work. To this end, research findings related to factors contributing to successful return to work were examined. Next delphi study was conducted with job coordinators who have long been involved in return to work activity. At the first phase of delphi study, authors identified major components that should be included in the evaluation protocol. At the next two phases of the delphi study, authors measured the importance and relevance of each item that were previously identified. After these processes were completed, authors located them into four categories according to the scores of importance relevance.
