발달협응성장애는 지적장애 아동을 비롯한 대다수 장애 아동에게 흔히 보이는 공존 장애다. 그럼에도 불구하고 장애의 고유 특성으로 파악돼 교육과 치료의 우선 순위에서 빠지기쉽다. 하지만 발달협응성장애는 지적장애 아동의 정서 행동 발달에 중요성을 갖는다.본 연구는 발달협응성장애를 보이는 지적장애 아동에게 심리운동을 통한 운동협응성 중재를 실시하였을 때, 지적장애 아동의 협응성 및 적응행동에 미치는 효과를 살펴보기 위한 것으로, 발달협응성장애를 보이는 3명의 지적장애 아동을 대상으로 심리운동을 통한 협응성중재를 주 2회기 60분씩 총 32회기에 걸쳐 실시하였다.연구 방법으로 대상자간 중다간헐기초선 설계로 아동의 행동을 회기별로 관찰하고, 협응성 및 적응행동의 변화를 기록하고 아동별로 행동 변화를 분석하였다.연구 결과 심리운동을 통한 운동협응성 중재가 발달협응성장애를 보이는 지적장애 아동의협응성과 적응행동에도 긍정적 변화를 준 것으로 나타났다. 이는 심리운동을 통한 협응성 중재 프로그램에 고안된 동작(점프, 뒤로걷기, 팔돌리기 등)과 교구(리본, 호스, 패달로)가 협응성 향상에 도움을 주었고, 또한 협응성 향상이 수업참여 및 수업방해 행동의 감소에 유의한효과를 주었다. 하지만, 본 연구는 단일사례 연구로 일반화에 한계를 가지며, 앞으로도 장애특성뿐만 아니라 발달협응성장애를 고려한 운동 교육에 관한 연구가 지속적으로 필요하다.

Developmental coordination disorder(DCD) is characterized by being detected its prevalence Mental Retardation Children and may negatively affect on emotional behavior development of the children. The purpose of this study is to find out effects of Psychomotor using Coordination Intervention, which was designed to take body motion(sergeant jump, back-walk, swing arm around, et al) and using teaching tools(pedelo, hose swing with sound, gym-ribbon, et al) for Three Mental Retardation Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder Motor Coordination and adjustment Behaviors who participated in a total of 32 sessions running for 60 minutes twice a week. This study used a multiple probe across participants design and average and range was measured in baseline, intervention, and maintenance. The data were suggested optically with graphs. The results of this study showed as follows: First, Psychomotor using Coordination Intervention programs were effective to increase the motor coordination for the Mental Retardation Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder Motor. Second, Psychomotor using Coordination Intervention programs were effective to increase the adjustment Behaviors for the Mental Retardation Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder Motor.
