본 연구는 치매노인 부양자와 일반노인 부양자간의 스트레스 및 심리상태를 비교하고자실시하였다. 2012년 11월부터 2013년 3월까지 치매노인 부양자 40명과 일반노인 부양자40명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 대상자의 스트레스를 알아보기 위하여 한국판 스트레스인자지각척도, 심리상태를 알아보기 위하여 간이정신진단검사를 실시하였다. 스트레스에서는 대인관계, 대인관계 변화, 질병 및 상해, 경제문제, 일상생활변화의 유무, 전반적 스트레스에서일반노인 부양자에 비해 치매노인 부양자의 점수가 높게 나왔으며 두 집단은 통계학적으로유의한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 심리상태에서는 신체화, 강박증, 대인민감성, 우울증, 불안,적대감, 공포불안, 편집증, 정신증에서 치매노인 부양자의 점수가 높게 나왔으며 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 따라서 치매노인 부양자의 스트레스와 심리상태는 심각한수준임을 알 수 있었으며 치매노인 부양자를 위한 정신건강 증진 프로그램의 개발과 정책적지원이 필요할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to compare stress and psychological status between the demented and the nondemented elderly person`s caregivers. Data were collected during the period from november 2012 to march 2013 and participants of this study were 40 demented and 40 nondemented elderly person`s caregivers. Stress was evaluated with Global Assessment of Recent Stress scale- Korean Version and psychological status was measured with Symptom check List-90-Revision. The demented elderly person`s caregivers scored significantly higher than the nondemented elderly person`s caregivers in stress relevant to interpersonal, change in relationship, sickness or injury, financial, change in routine, overall global(p<.05). The demented elderly person`s caregivers scored significantly higher in somatization, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobia, paranoid ideation, psychoticism than the nondemented elderly person`s caregivers(p<.05). Therefore, It was found that severity of stress and psychological status in the demented elderly person`s caregivers and it is necessary to develop the psychological health improving program for demented elderly person`s caregivers and to policy support.
