This study aims to review the 2015 revised Korean curriculum in association with the core competency curriculum. Especially, this study explores the overall aspects of the Korean curriculum in terms of the policy. The overall introduction of the core competence curriculum is the most important aspect in the 2015 revised curriculum. Some researchers have discussed how to establish a relationship between the Korean curriculum and core competencies. However, they have not yet been successful in creating a new identity of the Korean curriculum. As a result, more in-depth discussion is required in regard to this issue. This study focused on the educational governance surrounding the Korean curriculum. An approach from the policy dimension is required to make the core competency curriculum realized in the field of schools. Its core is the construction of a democratic, participant, and reflective governance. And this study has proposed to achieve this.
