Observe Qing’s situations was an important duty to Choson embassy. But the Choson emissaries in 18C were difficult in conversations with the Chinese in Qing. As they travel to Beijing, they remember and celebrate the Ming dynasty on the basis of loyalty to Ming and Chun-Qiu(春秋). Hwan’gyo mundap(黃敎問答) expands the problem of observing foreign situations to the problem of consideration for others, not the problem of diplomatic works. Pak Chiwon deal with it by Neo-Confucian’s sights. For this reason, the problem of proper conversations is upgraded to the problem of Li (禮). As Pak Chiwon talks about the Yellow Hats[黃敎, Lamaism], he did not struggle for his stance. Pak in Hwan’gyo mundap(黃敎問答) transformed his emotion situationally, not loosing his temper. The proper courtesy for others in conversations ultimately led to saving Pak’s face and it results in his prominent position. Eventually, such a method of conversations led others in conversations to having touched feelings. Simultaneously, it led Pak to conjecture others’ understandings of their society.
