본 연구의 목적은 특수교사들의 보조공학에 대한 인식 및 활용도를 조사하는 것이다. 본 연구는 대구, 부산에 근무하는 특수교사를 대상으로 설문지 138부를 가지고 연구 분석하였다. 특수교사들의 보조공학에 대한 인식도 조사 결과 대부분의 교사들이 보조공학과 관련된 정보에 쉽게 접근할 수 없다고 하였으며, 보조공학에 대한 교육을 받은 경험이 없는 교사들이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 교육환경에서의 보조공학 활용도는 낮은 활용도를 보였으며, 보조공학 영역에 상관없이 보조도구의 사용경험이 없는 교사들이 많았다. 개선해야 될 문제점은 재정지원 부족, 전문 인력부족, 교육기회 부족 등이었다. 특수교사들에게 보조공학에 대한 인식을 높이는 보조공학에 대한 교육과 홍보를 통해 장애아동을 기능적으로 도울 수 있는 재활보조도구의 사용을 활성화하여야 할것이다. 특히 특수교사들에게 보조공학에 대한 인식과 활용도를 높이기 위해 재정과 전문 인력을 지원하고, 보조공학에 관한 교육기회를 충분히 제공할 수 있는 국가적인 지원 및 관련학문간에 활발한 교류와 지원이 있어야 할 것이다.

This study was purposed to measure of cognition, use degree of special education teachers about assistive technology, suggest the problem, and a reform measure. This study investigated cognition and use degree about assistive technology of special education teachers in Daegu and Busan city according to the surveys from 138 special education teachers. The result showed that special education teachers were difficult to access the information of assistive technology, and many teachers have had lack of the education experience and use degree about assistive technology in their education environment. Moreover, many teachers have had lack of experience of assistive instrument regardless of the domain of assistive technology. The problems to be improved are lack of financial support, specialist, and education opportunity. The result of this study suggests that public relations, related event and the education about assistive technology have to be revitalized, especially for the special education teachers. In order to improve the special education teachers`` cognition and use degree about assistive technology, there should be enough finance and specialist supports. Furthermore, in order to support educational opportunity about assistive technology, there should be enough national support, active exchange, and support between related learning.
