본 연구의 목적은 일본 벤처산업 생태계를 시장생태계를 중심으로 고찰하고, 이를 통해 한국 정부에 대한 정책적 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구는 먼저 일본 벤처산업에 관한 기존 연구를 고찰하였고, 본 연구가 소위 아베노믹스 이후도 포함한 최근의 산업 상황을 고찰한다는 점을 강조하였다. 그 다음 일본 정부의 벤처산업 정책을 간략히 고찰하였고, 조사기관의 설문 결과에 기초하여 일본 벤처산업의 현황을 설명하였다. 그리고 일본벤처산업의 자금공급시장을 벤처캐피털, 민간기업, 공적자금, 엔젤 등을 중심으로 분석하였다. 또한 회수시장으로서 일본의 IPO 시장과 M&A 시장에 관해 간략히 설명하였다. 이와 같은 고찰에 근거하여 본 연구는 한국 정부에 대한 정책적 시사점을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 즉, 장기적 관점 정책의 필요성, 범정부 차원 정책 수립 및 실행의 필요성, 대학에 대한 집중투자를 통한 벤처기업 생성 및 육성의 필요성, 대기업과 벤처기업을 연계시키는 정책의 필요성을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구를 요약하고 몇 가지 향후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

The purposes of this paper are to review the Japanese venture industry ecosystem focusing on the venture market ecosystem and to suggest some policy implications for the Korean government. It at first reviewed existing researches about the Japanese venture industry and emphasized that this research analyzed the industry covering the recent time period after the so-called Abenomics. After that, it briefly reviewed the venture industry policies of the Japanese government and explained the current situation of the industry based on the survey of a research organization. Then, this research analyzed the financial supply market of the Japanese venture industry focusing on the venture capital market, private enterprises, government funds, engels, etc. It also briefly explained the Japanese IPO and M&A markets as components of the exit market. Based on the review in the above, this article suggested several policy implications for the Korean government such as the need for policies with long-term perspectives, the need for formulating and implementing government-wide policies, the need for creating and nurturing ventures by intensive investment on universities, and the need for policies of linking large firms with ventures. Finally, this paper summarized the study and suggested some topics for future research.
