The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of phonological awareness training on the development of the phonological awareness and letter decoding ability of children with reading disability, and the relationship between phonological awareness development and letter decoding ability. Two male children with reading disability participated in this study. The results of this study were as follows: Phonological awareness training resulted in the continuous development in phonological awareness and improvement on the letter decoding ability of the two children with reading disability. There was a positive relationship between phonological awareness development and letter decoding ability.
