The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among the subjective health status, the degree of health status, and the life satisfaction of the elderly population. This Study was conducted through interviews and questionnaires with the 222 elderly participants. The collected data were analyzed by the frequency analysis, the Chi-square test, the t-test, and the analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study are summarized as follow; First, the subjective health condition of the elderly is more positive in males than in females. Secondly, among the sub-items regarding the degree of interest in health status, the largest number of participants answered affirmatively to the regular participation in the medical checkups. Thirdly, the life satisfaction measures were the highest in the group of participants with higher satisfaction rate in their health status and in their body weight.
