본 연구는 특정 청각장애 학교에서 교육과정의 재구조화에 따른 학교 중심 교육과정운영상의 주요 특성을 구명하고, 그것이 한국 농학교의 교육과정 운영에 주는 시사점을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 연구를 통해 얻어진 A학교의 교육과정 재구조화에 따른 학교중심 교육과정 운영상의 주요 특성은 ① 주제 중심의 통합 수업, ② 수준별·개별화 수업, ③ 타 학교와의 특별활동 교류, ④ 융통성 있는 직업교육 운영, ⑤ 공동체 교육, ⑥우리 것 알기, ⑦ 자연 친화 교육, ⑧ 도서실 운영의 활성화 등이다. 이러한 교육 활동을 통해 A학교 학생의 자아 정체감 확립 및 문해 능력의 신장을 가져왔다.

The study is to reveal key characteristics of school-based curriculum management as reconstructing it in A school for the hearing impaired and to find out some suggestions, which may give it effect on management of curriculum of korean schools for the hearing impaired. Key characteristics of school-based curriculum management in A School which driven from this study are as follows; ① theme integrated instruction, ② level of competenceㆍindividualized teaching, ③ exchange special activities with other schools ④ flexible curriculum, ⑤ community education, ⑥ knowing our culture, ⑦ education friendly with nature, ⑧ facilitation to manage library. This educational activities in A School for the hearing impaired brought about rose in identifying self-concept, as well literacy.
