본 연구는 통합교육시 레크리에이션 활동을 통해 장애학생들의 사회성 증진과 일반학생들의 장애학생에 대한 태도변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 일반 중학교에서 통합교육을 받고 있는 장애학생 4명과 일반학생 10명을 대상으로 레크리에이션 활동을 약7개월 동안 주 1회 총 30회기 실시하였다. 그 결과 장애학생의 협력, 자기주장, 자아통제 등 사회적 기술이 향상되었으며, 특히 장애학생 3명의 경우 자기주장에서 가장 많은 향상을 보였다. 이와 함께 일반학생의 경우 장애아에 대한 태도가 보다 긍정적으로 변화되었으며, 특히 여학생이 29% 증가율로서 남학생 17% 증가율 보다 높게 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to see the improvement in social skill of students with disabilities and also attitude changing of normal students about disabilities through recreation activities. Four students with disabilities in a regular middle school and ten normal students in the same school participated in this study. Recreation activities were practiced each week and totally 30 times during seven months. The results were following: first, the social skill such as cooperation, self-assertion, self-control of students with disabilities was improved with individual difference. Second, the recognition of normal students about students with disabilities was changed. Specially, girls were changed much more than boys. Therefore, it shows the necessity of succeeding research on more concrete programs and teaching methods of recreation activities for the students with disabilities.
