This study explored 124 preservice primary teachers` metaphorical images of awareness on collaborative writing by conducting metaphor analysis. To discover how preservice primary teachers constitute concepts of collaborative writing, this study employed metaphor analysis as methodology. Of 124 metaphorical expressions, 9 patterns were induced. These patterns were "multiple perspectives influencing writer`s editing, writers` task representation & decision-making, role of reading the others` written texts, problem-solving, positive interdependence, emotional discomfort, growing pain, reflection, context awareness."
